2026 Scholarship program

There are four annual scholarships of two thousand dollars each available to be awarded.

Eligible applicants are current high school seniors or returning military members who are or will be attending an accredited college/university, trade or vocational school.

All applicants must be sponsored by a biological relative (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or cousin) who is a current member in good standing of the FSMD.

Applicants are not required to live within the borders of the State of Florida or the United States of America.

The Winners of the 2026 Scholarships are as follows:

  • First Place – The Edward Sullivan Scholarship – Aubrey Reese Stickney – Stephen Hopkins Colony
  • Second Place – Dorothy Faxon Waters, Education Legacy Award – Bethany Hope Adhikari – Miles Standish Colony
  • Third Place – FSMD Scholarship – Emily Nicole Derby – Stephen Hopkins Colony
  • Fourth Place -FSMD Scholarship – Madison Michelle Tafton – Edward Winslow Colony

SOCIETY OF MAYFLOWER DESCENDANTS IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA JUNIOR MEMBERS PROGRAM

Florida has over 900 Junior Members spread out across our state in each colony.  

Junior Benefits:

  • Junior Members may remain in the Junior Members Program up to age 24.

  • Junior Members may convert to regular membership at no charge, AFTER reaching their 18th birthday, BUT before they age-out on their 25th birthday.

Junior Eligibility Requirements:

  • Sponsor must be a regular member in good standing of the Florida Society and in direct line of descent, i.e. grandparent, parent, etc.

  • Children must be under the age of 18.
